Bob Grimes will talk your ear off. He loves to discuss Irish heritage, name delineations and boxing as much as he loves to talk about art. He has a larger than life personality and his work reflects that. Bold vibrant colors collide on the canvas creating visually stimulating images that provoke immediate reaction from the viewer.

He has earned the right to paint his way. Making his living as a commercial designer and illustrator, he had to tailor his talent to the needs and ideas of the client. Now he does what he likes. Radio blaring, Bob produces most of his work in the evening hours. When asked if the many trees surrounding his bungalow on the Waldeck property sway to the music, he replied, “No, but I did see a few deer dancing”. In true Bob Grimes style, he then proceeded to demonstrate how they looked.
