Snack will be provided! Please make sure your child does not wear their best clothes!

Paper Mosaics

This colored paper technique for making mosaics will teach children about space planning, the different colors needed for making a painting work. This will also teach about the shades of colors by using the lights and darks indicating where the light falls and shadows are cast. First they will do a tree and next a bird and on the last day they will fix up their work by making them look finished.

Monoprint

July 9-12

Possibly your child's first print! Monoprints are produced on a hard surface painted and then designed by the children. They then place a paper on top and then image is mirrored on the paper! Definitely do not want to send the kids in your favorite kids on this day...but it should be lots of fun! They will start with something easy, like a flower or a tree with a bird, and if you send with with a t-shirt, we can print the image onto a t-shirt for them the third day. On the fourth day, we will clean up our work and get them ready for taking home.
